Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using our Service. By downloading, installing, subscribing to or using Serena (the “App”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and Apple’s Licensed Application End-User License Agreement (LAEULA). If you do not accept every provision, do not use the App.
ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction) and capable of forming a binding contract. If you are under 18, you may use the App only with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
SUBSCRIPTIONS, FREE TRIALS & BILLING
3.1 Plans and prices
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars; Apple will convert to your local currency where required. We may add or change plans; you will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance.
3.2 Payment processing
All payments, free trials and renewals are handled by Apple via your Apple ID. We never receive your payment details.
3.3 Free trials
If you start a free trial, your Apple ID will be charged for the chosen plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before trial expiry.
3.4 Auto-renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. To cancel or change a subscription, open Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
3.5 Refunds
All refund requests are managed by Apple under its media-services terms; we cannot issue refunds directly.
LIMITED LICENCE
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to install and use one copy of the App per iOS device you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
HEALTH & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
The App provides self-help tools for managing skin-picking urges and related behaviours. It does not offer medical diagnosis, treatment or advice and is not a medical device. Always consult a qualified health-care professional for medical concerns. Never delay seeking professional advice because of content in the App. Individual results vary.
USER DATA AND CONTENT
All urge logs and settings are stored locally on your device unless you export them. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for maintaining appropriate device security (passcode, biometrics, backup). Skin scan images are temporarily uploaded for processing to analyze healing progress. These images are never stored or used otherwise and are deleted immediately after analysis.
We also use PostHog to collect anonymous analytics about how the App is used, so that we can improve it. This data is linked to a random identifier, not to your name or Apple ID, and is stored in the European Union. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
PRIVACY
Our Privacy Policy (accessible inside the App and at the download page) describes what information we collect, how we use it and your rights, including the analytics we collect through PostHog and the skin-scan images analysed by Google. We do not sell your data or show advertising. By using the App you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy, and you may object to analytics at any time by e-mailing contact@krimi.ai.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All code, graphics, text and design elements in the App are owned by Jonas Hiltl or licensed to us. No rights are transferred except the limited licence in Section 4.
TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your licence at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time. Sections 5, 9, 11, 12 and 14 survive termination.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet your expectations.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or reputation, arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid for the current subscription period, or (b) USD 10.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jonas Hiltl and our affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.
CHANGES TO TERMS
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notice or App Store release notes. Continued use of the App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Apple’s LAEULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior understandings.
